Water Heater Leaks

Tank water heaters hold 40 to 50 gallons or more, and when one fails, that water has to go somewhere. In many North Texas homes the water heater sits in a garage, a closet or the attic. An attic water heater leak is especially serious because the water comes down through the ceiling into the rooms below.

What to do: turn off the cold water supply valve on top of the heater, turn off the gas or the breaker, and call us. A plumber will repair or replace the heater; we take care of the water damage it left behind.

Washing Machine Overflows and Hose Failures

Rubber washing machine supply hoses wear out over time and can burst under pressure, often while the machine is running and nobody is in the room. Because laundry rooms are frequently next to living space or upstairs, the water spreads fast into carpet, hallways and the ceiling below.

Tip: braided stainless steel supply hoses last longer than rubber ones and cost little to install.
